The 45th Annual CRPR Peanut Carnival

Park Forest Middle School Gym, 2180 School Drive, State College

Bring the whole family and play all kinds of carnival games using peanuts! Each year campers in the CRPR KIDVenture Camp programs help to design and run the carnival booths. At each booth, you can play all sorts of carnival games or pitches, and have a chance to win some great prizes! Don’t be a “NUT,” come to Park Forest Middle School and join the Peanut Carnival tradition. Help us make this evening of fun even “nuttier!” A bag of peanuts (needed to play the games) is $.25

Enjoy a pontoon boat ride to see a beaver lodge up close while finding out interesting facts about beavers. This is a first come first serve program due to the limited seats. PFD's will be provided. Age limit-4 years and older. Meet at Boat Launch #1. Cost $2 per person.

Creatures of the Night

Join local volunteers and nature center staff to learn the basics of geo-caching! This fun, active, recreation hobby is becoming very popular and can be enjoyed by all ages. Come as a family, adults and children are welcome, to learn the basics of geo-caching: what is geo-caching, how to use a simple gps unit, how to learn about local caches, how to begin, and more! Pond Walkers

Discover the inhabitants the local pond by getting into it and catching the critters that are hiding within the watery world. The program will focus on the pond community, food chain, identification, adaptations, and water quality. You will explore life found in water by looking, feeling and experiencing everything from dragonflies to aquatic plants. Meet at the Frog Pond.
